- Website URL — when you submit a URL for a free public scan.

- Log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited on complyzy.com, referring URL, and timestamps. Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging.
- Cookies and similar technologies — we use minimal, functional cookies to operate the site (e.g., session state). We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Analytics — we may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We will update this section if we add a third-party analytics provider.
What we do NOT collect:
- Payment card numbers or financial account data (we do not accept payments yet).
- Personal data from your customers or website visitors.
- Content from logged-in pages, admin areas, or non-public systems of the websites you submit for scanning.
- Sensitive personal information (government IDs, health data, precise geolocation).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To perform the free URL scan you requested and return results to you.
- To send you waitlist confirmation and early-access notifications you signed up for.
- To respond to support or feedback messages you send us.
- To operate, maintain, and improve complyzy.com and the Complyzy service.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (Where Applicable)
For visitors in jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws, we process your information on the following bases:
- Performance of a service — to run the scan you requested or fulfill your account.
- Legitimate interests — to operate and secure our website and detect abuse, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — for marketing communications you opt into (you may withdraw at any time).

5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — third-party companies that help us operate (e.g., hosting infrastructure, email delivery). These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for other purposes.

- Waitlist / email subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Scan results — free-scan results are retained for a limited period (currently up to 30 days) for quality assurance. We will update this when account-linked scan history launches.
- Log data — up to 90 days.

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site (session management). We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie-derived data. You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies; doing so may affect site functionality.
We will update this section before deploying any analytics or marketing cookies, and we will obtain consent where required.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights including:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days and confirm completion.
- Unsubscribe — opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing privacy@complyzy.com.
- Restriction or objection — object to certain processing activities.

9. Children's Privacy
Complyzy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and isolated data environments. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
