Cookie & Consent

See every tracker your store loads — before someone else does

Complyzy reads your public page source and maps every third-party script it finds. You see a clear list — analytics, pixels, chat tools — along with whether a consent mechanism is present and what signals it sends.

  • Recognizes GA4, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar, and 40+ common tracker patterns in public HTML source
  • Checks whether a consent mechanism is detectable in publicly accessible page HTML
  • Flags missing opt-out links that may be relevant under state privacy laws — whether a law applies to your business depends on your specific practices and jurisdiction; consult qualified counsel

Complyzy is read-only. We scan reachable public HTML — the same way a visitor or search engine would. We never install scripts, change your theme, or touch your store.

Scan limitations: JavaScript-rendered consent behavior, dynamically loaded cookies or trackers, logged-in pages, and other non-public or dynamic content may not be captured. Results reflect what was observable at scan time.

Privacy & Do Not Sell

The two pages regulators check first

Many US state privacy laws may require e-commerce businesses to post a privacy policy and, depending on their practices, a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. Whether those obligations apply to your business depends on your specific practices, jurisdiction, and applicable thresholds — consult qualified counsel. Complyzy checks whether your public site signals both.

  • Scans for a privacy policy page linked from your footer or nav
  • Checks footer and nav for a Do Not Sell / Share link by URL pattern and visible text
  • Flags if your policy page returns a 404 or isn't publicly accessible
  • Platform-specific guidance: where to add the link in Shopify or WordPress

Informational only. Complyzy identifies public-site signals and provides guidance for you to review. We are not a law firm. Results are not legal advice or a compliance guarantee. Always consult qualified legal counsel for your specific situation.

What to check

1

Review if CCPA applies to you

Privacy obligations vary by jurisdiction, business size, and data-handling practices. Whether CCPA or other state laws apply to you depends on your specific situation — consult a qualified attorney.

2

Add the link to your Shopify footer

Go to Online Store › Navigation › Footer menu. Add a page or custom URL labeled "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."

3

Re-scan to confirm the signal

After making changes, run a new Complyzy scan to verify the link is publicly detectable.

This is sample guidance. Your actual scan may differ. Confirm requirements with a qualified attorney.

Coming: Ongoing Monitoring

Your store changes. Your signals should too.

App installs, theme updates, and plugin changes can quietly add new trackers or break your consent flow. Complyzy will watch your public site and email you when observable signals change — so you can check it before it becomes a problem.

Ongoing monitoring is coming for early access members. Join the waitlist below.

  • Scheduled re-scans notify you when public signals change — no setup inside your store
  • Plain-English email alerts describe what changed and what to review
  • Every alert includes what was observed, a confidence note, and suggested next steps
  • No code, no plugins — monitoring works from outside your store entirely

Questions

What merchants ask

Does Complyzy install anything on my store?

No. Complyzy is entirely read-only. We scan your public-facing website the same way a visitor or a search engine crawler would — by reading what's publicly available. We never install scripts, modify your theme, change plugins, or access your store admin or backend in any way.

Is this legal advice?

No. Complyzy is an informational monitoring and guidance tool. We identify public-site signals — the presence or absence of consent banners, policy pages, Do Not Sell links, and third-party trackers — and provide plain-English guidance on what to review and how to address issues on your platform. This is not legal advice, a compliance audit, or a guarantee that your store meets any legal requirement. Always consult a qualified attorney for your specific situation.

Does Complyzy guarantee I am CCPA or GDPR compliant?

No. Legal compliance involves many factors beyond what is publicly visible on a website, including internal data-handling practices, contracts with vendors, and applicable law based on your specific business and customers. Complyzy checks publicly-detectable signals and tells you what to look into — it cannot certify or guarantee compliance with any law or regulation.

Which platforms does Complyzy support?

Complyzy currently focuses on Shopify and WordPress e-commerce stores. Because we scan your public website URL — not your store admin — we can scan virtually any publicly-accessible website. Platform-specific guidance (step-by-step instructions on where to make changes) is currently written for Shopify and WordPress.

What exactly does Complyzy scan?

We scan your public homepage and key linked pages for: the presence and behavior of a cookie consent banner; third-party tracking scripts loaded on the page; whether a privacy policy page exists and is accessible; whether a Do Not Sell / Share My Personal Information link is present; and basic WCAG accessibility signals such as missing alt text and heading structure issues.

How does ongoing monitoring work?

When you set up monitoring, Complyzy re-scans your URLs on your chosen schedule (weekly or monthly). If we detect a change in any compliance signal — for example, a new tracker appears after a theme update, or your privacy policy page stops returning a valid response — we email you a plain-English description of what changed and what to check.

When will Complyzy be available?

We are in pre-launch. The free URL scanner is available now in limited access — join the waitlist to get early access. Paid plans (Starter and Monitor) will open to waitlist members first. Enter your store URL above or sign up below to reserve your spot.
